When we met, both of us were extremely busy.
Vikram was building his business, and Aditi was working in the medical field.
Our first few weeks were not like a typical romantic story.
Sometimes we spoke for an hour.
Sometimes we didn't speak at all because work was too demanding.
At one point, we actually wondered whether we were both too busy for a relationship.
But we kept making time.
Even if it was a short call at the end of the day.
Even if it was a quick coffee between meetings.
Those small moments slowly became important.
We started understanding that we didn't need to be together all the time to feel connected.
We just needed to know that we were there for each other.
One of the things that made us comfortable was that neither of us expected the other person to give up their career.
We both had worked hard for what we had.
We wanted marriage to add something to our lives, not take something away.
After we got married, there were definitely difficult periods.
There were weeks when work took over everything.
There were family responsibilities.
There were days when one of us was stressed and the other had to be more patient.
But because we had already understood each other's priorities, we learned to support each other.
Today, our life is still busy.
We still don't get as much free time as we'd like.
But we have our little routines.
Sunday breakfast.
Occasional trips.
Late-night conversations.
Family dinners.
And sometimes just sitting together without talking.
We have realised that a good marriage isn't necessarily about spending every minute together.
It's about making the moments you have together matter.
